The PTFA of The Bishop – ‘Truly Making A Difference’
Our parents’ association is now well and truly established and has already organised several fundraising activities. If you haven't yet joined, we have the 100 Club monthly prize draw (with monthly cash prizes for an annual subscription of £12), we've held Summer Fayres, a Grand Prize Easter Raffle, 2 "Curry and Quiz nights", a "Barn Dance" and supported numerous events throughout the school year such as the fantastic production of Little Shop of Horrors, Bishop's Got Talent and several Parents Evenings. We wish to continue with our fundraising efforts and as further events and activities are organised, we will send out regular communication and updates to parents via our students, the website, twitter and termly newsletters.
Over the summer, we purchased more outdoor seating for the students to utilize and have spoken to the students to gather feedback on what they would like us to purchase next.
It's still not too late to join the "100 club" draw this year, please send in your details and cheque for £12 made payable to The Bishop of Llandaff High school in an envelope addressed to the PTFA. The next draw will be held later this month.
Our first meeting of the academic year will be held in Room A19 in the main school building at 6.30pm on Tuesday 18th September 2018. Subsequent meetings are usually held the second Monday of each new half term.
We are hoping to organize further fundraising activities for the coming year and more information will be announced soon.
