Dominic Bailey (Year 13)

It is with deepest regret that we share the news that Dominic Bailey, one of our Year 13 students, tragically died in a road traffic accident on Saturday 6th June 2026. Dominic was well-known across all year groups. He was a large personality within our school and had exciting ambitions to travel upon completing his A level studies. He will be sorely missed by everyone at The Bishop of Llandaff and, in particular, his close circle of friends. We give thanks for Dominic's life, for the joy he brought to others, and for memories that will remain in our hearts. The immediate thoughts and prayers of the whole school community are with Dominic's family as they begin to come to terms with this profound loss. When communicating the news with students and staff, the following prayer was shared  Heavenly Father, We commend the soul of Dominic, one of our school family, who has left us to come into your hands. We thank you for placing him in our life here on earth. We glorify Your name for giving the time we had with Dominic. Fill our hearts with courage and help us to accept that he is now with you. Let this knowledge of Dominic joining you in paradise, where perpetual light will shine on him, be our source of comfort and strength. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. The school will provide support to students and staff during this time of grief, and will continue to come together as a community to remember and honour Dominic's life.  I ask that you respect the privacy of the family and school at this deeply challenging time.
