Year 10 and 12 families - Welsh Government/Qualifications Wales have this evening made an announcement regarding this summers’ examinations. We will look into this over the next 48 hours and contact families affected in writing

Examination Results

Students at The Bishop of Llandaff perform exceptionally well at all key stages. The school consistently performs well above expected levels and achieve some of the highest outcomes in the country (both Wales and UK).

GCSE Results
Over the last four years the school has consistently performed well above the local and national averages against all performance indicators (as the graph below shows)

Exams 2018

In 2018, the school achieved another set of very strong GCSE results, with 82% of students achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English Language and mathematics. An impressive 43% of students achieved at least 5 or more A*-A grades, while a third of the cohort achieved 9 or more A*-A grades. This represents some of the finest outcomes in the country (both Wales and UK). Every child in the year group left with a qualification and standards in every subject (at A*-A, A*-C and A*-G) was outstanding.

A Level Results

Sixth Form results are consistently excellent. In 2018, 35% of all grades at A2 were at A*-A, 68% A*-B and 86% A* - C. 100% of students achieved the Level 3 Threshold (at least 2 A levels A* - E). Nearly all of our students progress to university from our sixth form, with a significant number attending Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. However, all students consistently gain a place at their preferred destinations.

"Students make outstanding progress in their subject knowledge and skills. Outcomes in key stage 4 are substantially higher than those in similar schools in nearly all indicators" Estyn
