Bishop of Llandaff Gets Gold Award For Antibullying The Cardiff Stop Bullying Awards (CSBA) are presented in acknowledgement of the continued commitment and work undertaken in schools to prevent bullying behaviours. The award recognises the dedication of pupils, teachers and Governors to creating an environment where all feel secure, valued and happy. Bullying is a challenge to all schools and I am very proud of the work of students in the school who have made a positive contribution to our Anti-Bullying policy in the school.
On Wednesday 18th November the school was proud to receive a Gold “Cardiff Stop Bullying Award”. The award was presented to three students, Tom Plow, Rebecca Hughes and Beth Lindsey. An important part of the assessment is the questionnaires completed confidentially by the pupils and the assessment by pupils from other schools. Kellie Kidd is one of our students who is part of the assessment team looking at other schools’ provision and was part of the presentation team at the ceremony attended by staff and pupils.
Kellie stated “Being part of the CSBA has been fun and rewarding, and it has made a difference to all schools across Cardiff”. Another recipient Tom Plow added that “The school has an effective anti-bullying policy. The teachers are friendly and pupils feel listened to. All pupils know where to go for support and the peer mentoring system is an important part of this”.
