Graduation Programme

Graduate Programme

The Graduation Award helps to promote the development of the whole person. The aim is to increase student participation in all aspects of school life to enable each individual to secure a deeper appreciation of their learning and become more ‘well-rounded’.

Level of Award
Students across the whole school will gain different levels of accreditation for a wide range of experiential learning and involvement in school life, focusing on the four key areas of challenge: Initiative; Leadership; Learning; and Community. These points also contribute towards the house system.

Novice Award: A student will have achieved 2,500 points in total, covering all four areas of challenge.

Apprentice Award: A student will have achieved 5,000 points in total, covering all four areas of challenge.

Graduate Award: A student will have achieved 10,000 points in total, covering all four areas of challenge.

For each award, students will receive a pin badge, to be worn on their school blazer or clothing, to commemorate their efforts and achievements over a period of time.

The experiences students have will vary during their time at school. While many students are unlikely to have completed all of the tier 1 challenges, most will have been able to fully immerse themselves into the life of the community by achieving many tier 2 and 3 challenges.

At the end of each term, students who have broadened their experiences at school and achieved an award will be presented with their Graduation Badge.

"The school's extra-curricular 'Graduation Programme' supports the school's values and effectively promotes student's engagement in a wide range of community and leadership opportunities"
