Students at The Bishop of Llandaff perform exceptionally well at all key stages. In 2016, the school celebrated record-breaking GCSE and A Level results for the second year in a row.
Over the last four years the school has consistently performed well above the local and national averages against all performance indicators (as the graph below shows)
5 or more A*-C including English and mathematics (3 year trend)
In 2017, the school achieved the highest performance at GCSE in the country with 85% of students achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English Language and mathematics. A further 41% of students achieved at least 5 or more A*-A grades, while a staggering 15% of the cohort achieved straight A*-A in all 11/12 qualifications. This represents some of the finest outcomes in the country (both Wales and UK). Every child in the year group left with a qualification and standards in every subject (at A*-A, A*-C and A*-G) was outstanding.
A Level Results
Sixth Form results are excellent. In 2017, 38% of all grades at A2 were at A*-A, 64% A*-B and 87% A* - C. 100% of students achieved the Level 3 Threshold (at least 2 A levels A* - E). Nearly all of our students progress to university from our sixth form, with a significant number attending Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. However, all students consistently gain a place at their preferred destinations.
"The performance against the level 2 threshold including English and mathematics is consistently above similar schools" Estyn
