Examination Results

Students at The Bishop of Llandaff perform exceptionally well at all key stages. In 2016, the school celebrated record-breaking GCSE and A Level results for the second year in a row.

GCSE Results

In 2016, 99% of students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades, with 89% including English and mathematics. Nearly 40% of all grades were at A*-A and more than a third of all students in Year 11 achieved 5 or more A*-A.

5 or more A*-C including English and mathematics (3 year trend)

Students who attend The Bishop of Llandaff consistently perform well above local and national averages, as well as above schools with a similar student profile.

A Level Results

Sixth Form results are very strong. In 2016, 64% of all grades at A2 were at A* - B and 86% A* - C. 100% of students achieved the Level 3 Threshold (at least 2 A levels A* - E). Most of our students progress to university from our sixth form, with a significant number attending Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. However, nearly all students consistently gain a place at their preferred destinations.

"The performance against the level 2 threshold including English and mathematics is consistently above similar schools" Estyn
